Nintendo Switch Hacks : Everything you should know!

So did you guys know the latest Nintendo console? Yes i'm talking about Nintendo Switch! So i've been with my switch for a couple of years since the console itself was release in 2017. I got a chance on getting one back in july last year. The console itself was amazing but the games release are a bit slower than I though it gonna be(I mean slower for the good tittle game) until now I'm pretty amaze on how the Switch itself manage to run such a fantastic game like Doom, Wolfenstein and etc. I know it just a port but oh well playing those kind of game in a palm of your hand, driving me nuts! Talking about a good tittle and a ported games did you guys know that the switch already have an emulator such like GameBoy Advance, Nes and others? And did you guys know that the switch already been hack back in February 2018 to run a Linux? It was really fast that the hacker already break into the switch and the most shocking part is that the switch hack cannot be patch because the hack was from the hardware itself and that is from the Nvidia Tegra X1(that power the Switch) that gain access to the Operating System.

They were at least 14 million devices sold early by nintendo which mean all of them are vulnerable and if they trying to block the hack itself they need to release a newest version of the switch itself which is now they are many newest version out there if you guys buy it from local game store or nintendo themself. Here are the video on Linux running on the NSW by failOverFlow :

So if you guys wondering on how to know that your switch are vulnerable or patched here I give you guys a good example on how to know that your switch are hackable or not :

Serial:
Serial on device matches serial on box:
Region:
Firmware:
Color option:
Store:
Was a bundle (if yes, which):
Purchase date:
Fusée Gelée works:

X: From NX. It's actually the platform code.

A: It's the hardware code. A: Switch, B: Joy-Con (L), C: Joy-Con (R). And I assume for Pro (check the plastic sliver that came with, if it exists).
J/W: West or Japan? Probably the region that was supposed to reach. Maybe with all the pre-orders and the after-launch demand, they just sent them everywhere to keep people happy. Or, at some point they weren't Region-free.
10/14/40/70: Factory made or assembled?

For example: XAJ70002712345

X: Product of NX line
A: Switch Hardware
J70: Assembly line
The following numbers are probably a consecutive number. So the Switch in the example is Switch number 2712345.

Here is a quick guide on how to check the Firmware without going through the initial setup.

Where to look for the serial before you buy a Switch: There is a hole on the underside of the box where a sticker with the serial is placed.

TL;DR. Compare your serial here to know if your Switch is patched or not:
Serials beginning with XAW1:
XAW1007800X and below are safe to buy
XAW1007900X and above not safe to buy, possibly patched
XAW1010000X and above definitely patched

Serials beginning with XAW4:
XAW4001100X and below are safe to buy
XAW4001200X and above not not safe, possibly patched
XAW4003000X and above definitely patched

Serials beginning with XAW7:
XAW7001780X and below are safe to buy
XAW7001790X and above not safe to buy, possibly patched
XAW7003000X and above definitely patched

Serials beginning with XAJ1:
XAJ1003100X and above not safe to buy, possibly patched

Serials beginning with XAJ4:
XAJ4005000X and below are safe to buy
XAJ4005100X and above not safe to buy, possibly patched
XAJ4006000X and above definitely patched

Serials beginning with XAJ7:
XAJ7004000X and below are safe to buy
XAJ7004100X and above not safe to buy, possibly patched
XAJ7005000X and above definitely patched

So if you guys have a hackable switch you guys can now install a Custom Firmware such as ReinXAtmosphere and others. PS: Warning! I do not take any responsible if you guys get ban from installing any custom firmware so do it as your own risk. For now, I don't know if it was true that you will get ban if you use the custom firmware online but there is a post that i saw on a website that telling people to be careful from using the custom firmware and go online.

For the Firmware, if you guys getting a new Nintendo Switch and got a hackable serial number with lowest firmware 2.3.0 or lower. I recommend you guys to stay with the lowest firmware as possible because right now the latest firmware was 6.2.0 already out and it block all of the custom firmware out there. I know that I said before that the switch cannot be patched anymore yes it is but not for the firmware, but hardware! Right now firmware 6.2.0 hack are on its way and believe it or not, hacker SciresM already run Atmosphere custom firmware on a firmware 6.2.0 but with a externally dumped firmware key because of the new key generation mechanism that inside the latest firmware 6.2.0. So for those who really want they switch to be hacked, you guys need to stay with the lowest firmware as possible! DO NOT UPDATE YOUR SWITCH TO THE NEWEST FIRMWARE! IT WILL BLOCK YOUR CFW!
