How To Record Switch Gameplay Video Through Your PC Without Game Capture Card!

In this article I wanted to share with you guys on how we can record our switch gameplay videos and stream it directly to our PC. This tutorial will help you guys who cant afford to buy a capture card to stream our switch directly to our PC.

Requirement :
1. Switch with a custom firmware (Any firmware should be fine as long as you have a custom firmware)
2. dot NET core runtime
3. Zadig
4. libusb-win32  (support 64bit and 32 bit)
5. mpv player
6. sysdvr
You can download all the files at one by clicking to myfiles here.

Now then, after you have download all the stuff you need to run the .NET core runtime first and install it.

So after you have finish installing the .NET core runtime, you need to extract all the files into 1 folder (zadig,libusbwin32,zadig,mpv player and sysdvr). Rename the folder anything you like.

Now we need to copy the title first from the atmosphere folder to our switch SD CARD in order to let it stream to our pc. Without copying this title, you cannot use the sysdvr once you finish all the setup later on. Connect your switch SD CARD to your pc, open atmosphere folders > titles. Copy the "00FF0000636C6BFF" folders and paste it to your SD CARD atmosphere > titles folder that you open earlier.

After we have copy the title to our SD CARD, we may now eject our SD CARD from our PC and boot our switch into custom firmware.

Now go back to our PC and open usbstream folder. Now we need to edit the .batch files inside the usbstream folder and we need to replace the “YOURMPVLOCATION” to where we have move the mpv player directory on our PC.

To copy the directory path you need to find your mpv folder and open it up, hold SHIFT + RIGHT CLICK to the mpv.exe then click to copy as path.

Go back to the .bat files that we edit earlier, highlight/mark the “YOURMPVLOCATION” with the quote mark and then paste your mpv directory.

Make sure you replace both of the them then click save.

Now then we have finish setup the mpv and usbstream. The last one we need to setup is the libusb-win32 driver to our switch. Connect your usb type-c from your pc to your switch. Now we need to launch Zadig on our PC. Click to options> list all devices, it will expend all the devices driver that were connected to our PC.

Now look for “Nintendo Switch” and click to it. Now change the driver type to libusb-win32 and click to “install driver”. It will take around 20 second or more to let Zadig install the libusb-win32 to our switch.

So after it finish installing the driver you need to reboot your switch and boot it into custom firmware back again so that it will refresh the USB ID. Make sure you have the right USB ID in order to use the usbstream so if you have the wrong USB ID you may up ended getting error while launching the usbstream.

USB ID must be exactly the same after you reboot your switch and plug in the usb cable to your switch. "057E 3006"

So now we have finish all the setup required in order to stream our switch gameplay through our PC. To use the usbstream run the batch program which is “run.bat” then run any games that you like to play on your switch. Now the usbstream will show your switch screen through your PC after you run the games and now you can start record your gameplay videos with any recording software that you like to use on your PC.

Notes :
usbstream will only capture your switch screen after you run a games. It will not show you the homescreen or other than just a gameplay. It sometimes can catch full potential for the fps and sometimes can be very laggy.
